The AEMC PowerPad III Model 8333 is a compact, professional three-phase power quality analyzer engineered for diagnostic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and energy auditing across single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase electrical distribution networks. Equipped with four voltage inputs and three current inputs, the Model 8333 enables simultaneous, continuous True-RMS measurement across all primary phase lines and the neutral voltage reference. Designed in compliance with IEC 61000-4-30 Class B measurement performance standards and rated for 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV environments per IEC 61010-1, the instrument ensures operator safety during direct auditing of main service entrances, motor control centers, and commercial switchgear. Operating with a high-speed synchronous acquisition engine sampling all channels continuously at 256 samples per cycle (12.8 kHz at 50 Hz / 15.36 kHz at 60 Hz), the analyzer captures electrical phenomena without missing cycles. The Model 8333 calculates and displays real-time power parameters, including True-RMS voltage and current, active power (W), reactive power (var), apparent power (VA), power factor (PF), displacement power factor (cos φ), crest factor, and phase unbalance. It provides full harmonic decomposition up to the 50th order on voltages and currents—displaying harmonic amplitudes, percentages, and phase angles—while offering dedicated capture modes for motor starting inrush currents and half-cycle transient disturbances down to 65 microseconds. Constructed for rugged industrial field use, the Model 8333 is housed in a shock-resistant overmolded enclosure rated to IP53 ingress protection against dust and water spray. It incorporates a bright 5.7-inch full-color 1/4-VGA (320 × 240 pixel) backlit TFT display that presents clear vector phasor diagrams, multi-channel waveforms, and harmonic bar graphs in dimly lit electrical rooms. Featuring 2 GB of internal flash memory dedicated to trend logging, independent memory for up to 50 transient captures, 10 configurable alarm types (storing up to 4,000 threshold events), and 12 screen snapshots, the analyzer provides up to 13 hours of continuous operation from its internal rechargeable NiMH battery pack. The instrument connects via an optically isolated USB port to AEMC DataView software for automated EN 50160 compliance reporting, real-time waveform streaming, and comprehensive energy audits.
