The AEMC PowerPad III Model 8333 Kit (2136.11) is a turnkey, three-phase power quality diagnostic and energy auditing system pre-configured with three 24-inch AmpFlex Model 193-24-BK flexible AC current sensors. Engineered to conduct detailed electrical investigations across single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase distribution networks (delta and wye configurations), this package enables simultaneous True-RMS measurement across all three phase lines and the neutral voltage reference. Certified to IEC 61000-4-30 Class B performance standards and rated for 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV environments in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1, the instrument guarantees maximum operator safety and measurement integrity when auditing primary utility entrances, industrial substations, and heavy motor control centers. Featuring a high-speed synchronous acquisition engine sampling all four voltage and three current channels continuously at 256 samples per cycle (12.8 kHz at 50 Hz / 15.36 kHz at 60 Hz), the instrument captures complex electrical disturbances without missing cycles. The analyzer records rapid transient surges down to 65 microseconds, logs motor start-up inrush profiles up to 1 minute in duration, and evaluates power parameters in real time. Calculated metrics include True-RMS voltage and current, active (W), reactive (var), and apparent (VA) power, power factor (PF), displacement power factor (cos φ), crest factor, phase unbalance (V% and A%), and individual harmonic magnitudes up to the 50th order on voltages and currents with phase angles. The included 24-inch AmpFlex flexible current probes feature lightweight, air-core Rogowski coil architecture with a 7.6-inch (193 mm) loop diameter, allowing technicians to wrap effortlessly around large busbars, transformer secondary leads, and dense parallel conductor bundles up to 6500 A AC where rigid clamp-on jaws cannot reach. Housed in a heavy-duty, IP53-rated shockproof overmolded casing, the analyzer incorporates a 5.7-inch full-color 1/4-VGA backlit TFT graphic display for real-time vector phasor diagrams and harmonic bar graphs. Internal data storage includes a dedicated 2 GB flash memory for multi-week trend logging, reserved memory for up to 50 transient captures, 10 programmable alarm types (storing up to 4,000 threshold events), and 12 screen snapshots. With an optically isolated USB 2.0 interface and an internal rechargeable NiMH battery delivering over 13 hours of field autonomy, the Model 8333 kit pairs directly with the included AEMC DataView software suite for automated EN 50160 compliance reporting and advanced energy cost allocation.
