The AEMC PowerPad III Model 8333 (2136.10) is a professional, handheld three-phase power quality analyzer engineered for diagnostic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and energy auditing across industrial, commercial, and utility electrical distribution systems. Configured specifically as an instrument-only package without pre-bundled current probes, this version gives electrical contractors, facility managers, and testing technicians the flexibility to pair the unit with existing compatible AEMC current sensors—such as AmpFlex flexible coils, MiniFlex sensors, or rigid MN/SR clamp-on current transformers—customized to exact application amperages and conductor dimensions. Rated for 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV installations in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1, the instrument guarantees operator safety during live testing in high-energy service entrances and switchgear. Equipped with four voltage inputs and three current inputs, the Model 8333 enables simultaneous True-RMS measurement across all primary phase lines and the neutral voltage reference. The analyzer samples all channels continuously and synchronously at 256 samples per cycle (12.8 kHz at 50 Hz / 15.36 kHz at 60 Hz) without missing cycles, providing half-cycle resolution to detect rapid electrical anomalies, voltage sags, swells, and interruptions. It continuously evaluates and displays vital power parameters in real time, including active power (W), reactive power (var), apparent power (VA), power factor (PF), displacement power factor (cos φ), crest factor, phase unbalance, and individual harmonic orders up to the 50th harmonic on both voltage and current channels. Housed in a rugged, shock-resistant overmolded enclosure rated to IP53 ingress protection against dust and water spray, the Model 8333 is built to withstand harsh field environments. It features a bright 5.7-inch full-color 1/4-VGA (320 × 240 pixel) backlit TFT display that clearly renders complex vector phasor diagrams, multi-channel waveforms, and harmonic bar graphs in dark electrical vaults. Internal data storage includes a dedicated 2 GB flash memory for multi-week trend logging, independent memory for up to 50 transient captures (down to 65 microseconds), 10 user-configurable alarm types (storing up to 4,000 threshold events), and 12 screen snapshots. Complete with an optically isolated USB 2.0 interface and an internal rechargeable NiMH battery delivering up to 13 hours of continuous field operation, the Model 8333 connects directly to the included AEMC DataView software suite for automated EN 50160 compliance reporting and advanced energy trend analysis.
