The AEMC Model MA194-24-BK (2140.80) is an extended-reach, high-performance flexible AC current sensor designed specifically for use with AEMC Power & Energy Loggers (PEL 100 Series) and PowerPad power quality analyzers. Utilizing an advanced, lightweight air-core Rogowski coil design with a 24-inch (610 mm) loop length, this sensor wraps around large conductors, irregular busbars, and complex cable bundles up to 7.0 inches (180 mm) in diameter. Terminated with a proprietary multi-pin connector, the MA194-24-BK is powered and integrated directly by the host instrument, eliminating the need for internal batteries or external electronic integrator modules. Operating across a wide dynamic measurement span ranging from 100 mA up to 10,000 A AC (instrument dependent), the MA194-24-BK delivers exceptional measurement linearity and true-RMS measurement fidelity. Because its air-core construction is non-saturating, the sensor does not suffer from core saturation, overheating, or physical damage during severe overcurrent surges and high-inrush events. With minimal phase shift and a wide frequency response extending well into harmonic spectra, it is ideally suited for detailed power quality diagnostics, total harmonic distortion (THD) recording, and variable-load energy profiling. Engineered to meet rigorous international electrical safety standards, the flexible sensor coil carries an electrical classification rated for 1000 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III installations in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC/EN 61010-2-032. Its slender 5 mm sensor cross-section allows technicians to easily navigate congested electrical cabinets, tight breaker connections, and dense motor control centers where rigid clamp-on CT jaws cannot fit. Equipped with a secure push-twist latching mechanism and an extended 10-foot (3 m) connecting cable, the MA194-24-BK ensures safe, reliable hands-free operation during long-term monitoring campaigns.
