The AEMC Model PEL 52 (2137.69) is a compact, cost-effective power and energy data logger designed specifically for monitoring single-phase, split-phase, and dual-single-phase electrical installations, as well as DC systems. Engineered with two independent voltage measurement channels and two current measurement channels, the instrument performs simultaneous True RMS digitization at 128 samples per cycle across DC, 50 Hz, and 60 Hz electrical networks. This complete turnkey kit includes two 10-inch MA193-10-BK MiniFlex flexible current sensors, which are automatically identified and configured by the meter upon plug-in to measure AC currents up to 10,000 A without requiring manual ratio entry. Equipped with an integrated multi-line backlit digital LCD display, the PEL 52 provides real-time verification of phase voltages, load currents, active/reactive/apparent power, power factor, and frequency directly in the field. Its ultra-compact enclosure is built to fit neatly inside tight breaker panels, load centers, and electrical enclosures where mounting space is severely restricted. Built-in rare-earth magnets on the back of the housing allow the unit to mount securely to metallic cabinet doors, while the instrument can also be self-powered directly from the monitored AC voltage inputs via its test leads, eliminating the need for an external wall outlet during long-term recording sessions. Built to comply with strict international electrical safety requirements, the PEL 52 is certified to IEC 61010-1 for 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III environments. All recorded trend data, energy totals, and electrical profiles are logged onto a standard internal SD/SD-HC card supporting capacities up to 32 GB for extended logging intervals lasting from days to several months. Modern connectivity features include built-in Wi-Fi (both Direct Access Point and Client Station modes) and USB communication, enabling wireless configuration, data retrieval, and automated compliance reporting using AEMC DataView software.
