The Ametek Jofra RTC-700A (RTC700A) is the entry-level Basic Model within the flagship RTC-700 Reference Temperature Calibrator series. Engineered for precision thermal verification across demanding processing, energy, and petrochemical environments, the RTC-700A spans an operating temperature range from 33°C to 700°C (91°F to 1292°F). Utilizing multi-zone active heating technology, the unit incorporates independently controlled top and bottom heating zones within the block to counteract natural vertical conductive losses, providing axial stability and radial homogeneity across the complete calibration immersion zone. Unlike the multi-input "B" and "C" configurations, the Basic "A" model is streamlined strictly for high-stability dry-block temperature generation. It relies on a high-precision internal reference sensor and precision thermal control algorithms, achieving an internal dry-block accuracy of ±0.20°C (±0.36°F) and stability of ±0.008°C at 700°C. The intuitive full-color VGA display delivers real-time stability indicators, countdown timers, programmable multi-point auto-stepping profiles, and automatic switch-test ramping routines, providing laboratory bath performance in a rugged field package. Housed in a robust cast aluminum enclosure with integrated protective bumpers, the RTC-700A is built for shop-floor durability and mobile service tasks. It features intelligent forced-air cooling management, high-speed heating (33°C to 700°C in 45 minutes), and dual-sided connectivity including USB and LAN interfaces. Fully compatible with JofraCal calibration management software, the calibrator supports automated multi-point thermal test profiles and digital certificate reporting for ISO/IEC 17025 compliance workflows.
