The AEMC Model MF 3000-24-1-1 (2132.63) is a compact, high-amperage flexible AC current probe designed for measuring alternating currents up to 3000 A RMS across tight conductor bundles, large busbars, and crowded electrical cabinets. Utilizing an advanced air-core Rogowski coil sensor with a 24-inch (610 mm) loop length, this probe accommodates conductors up to 7.5 inches (190 mm) in diameter. Terminated with an integrated 10-foot (3 m) coaxial cable with an insulated BNC output connector, the MF 3000-24-1-1 connects directly to oscilloscopes, waveform recorders, and BNC-equipped data acquisition systems. Unlike conventional iron-core current transformers, the Rogowski coil design of the MiniFlex series does not saturate, eliminating inductive heating risks and preventing sensor damage from heavy overcurrent transients. The sensor delivers a linear 1 mV/A voltage output across its dynamic measurement span of 0.5 A to 3000 A with a flat frequency response spanning from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. Its minimal phase shift makes it suitable for true-RMS current capture, power quality assessments, and switching harmonic analysis on variable-frequency drives (VFD) and power distribution systems. Engineered to withstand demanding industrial environments, the flexible sensor coil is insulated for high-energy electrical installations rated at 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC/EN 61010-2-032 standards. The lightweight electronic integrator module is powered by a standard 9 V alkaline battery delivering up to 140 hours of continuous field operation, complete with an LED power/battery status indicator and overload warning LED. The 5 mm thin sensor cable flexes easily into crowded breaker panels and motor control centers where rigid clamp-on CT jaws cannot fit.
