The AEMC Model MF 300-10-2-10 HF (2126.84) is a specialized high-frequency flexible AC current probe engineered for direct connection to digital storage oscilloscopes, transient recorders, and waveform analyzers equipped with standard BNC inputs. Operating on the Rogowski coil inductive principle, this sensor measures alternating currents from 0.5 A to 300 A AC without interrupting electrical circuits or disturbing load operations. Designed to overcome space constraints in crowded industrial electrical cabinets, the probe features a slim 0.2-inch (5 mm) cross-section, 10-inch (250 mm) flexible Rogowski loop that threads effortlessly through tightly packed conductor runs, busbars, and complex switchgear where rigid current clamps cannot fit. Equipped with an advanced wideband air-core architecture and an active electronic integrator module, the MF 300-10-2-10 HF delivers an extensive frequency response spanning 5 Hz to 1 MHz (@ -3 dB). It offers dual switch-selectable measurement ranges: a high-sensitivity 30 A range outputting 100 mV/A and a standard 300 A range outputting 10 mV/A. Because the air-core design is completely free from iron magnetic cores, the sensor exhibits zero magnetic saturation and no hysteresis, providing True RMS measurement accuracy within ±1% of reading ± 0.3 A. Its low phase shift and wide frequency envelope make it suitable for examining fast switching transients, PWM carrier frequencies, thyristor/SCR firings, and high-frequency power electronics ripple without inductive waveform distortion. Constructed for rigorous laboratory benchmarking and harsh field plant environments, the flexible sensor loop is molded from a durable elastomer that resists industrial oils, chemicals, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. The compact in-line electronics module features a rugged slide range selector switch, battery-status LED indication, and operates up to 140 hours on a single standard 9 V alkaline battery. The probe connects via an integrated 6.5 ft (2 m) shielded coaxial cable terminating in an insulated male BNC connector, perfectly matching 1 MΩ instrument input impedances. Certified to IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC 61010-2-032 standards with a safety rating of 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV, the probe ensures operator safety during complex electrical diagnostics on main distribution boards.
