The AEMC Model MN379T (2153.02) is a compact, dual-range AC current probe designed for high-resolution low-current and general AC current measurements across industrial automation, power monitoring, and diagnostic troubleshooting applications. Built with a compact "clothespin" jaw shape, the MN379T excels at navigating crowded electrical panels, dense wire bundles, and tight terminal areas where larger clamp probes cannot reach. Equipped with an integrated 10-foot (3 m) shielded coaxial cable terminated in an insulated male BNC connector, this probe interfaces directly with oscilloscopes, data loggers, waveform recorders, and power quality analyzers. Featuring dual user-selectable measurement ranges, the MN379T provides a low range of 0.005 A to 5 A with a high-sensitivity 200 mV/A output, and a high range of 0.1 A to 100 A (up to 120 A continuous) with a 10 mV/A output. This multi-range design makes it ideal for measuring 4-20 mA control loops, secondary outputs of 5 A current transformers (CTs), small motor currents, and general AC line currents without sacrificing signal resolution. Its high-permeability magnetic core provides low phase shift and flat frequency response from 40 Hz up to 10 kHz, ensuring accurate reproduction of AC current waveforms, fast switching transitions, and harmonic distortion on connected test equipment. Engineered to meet rigorous international safety standards, the Model MN379T is rated for 600 V CAT III and 300 V CAT IV installations in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC/EN 61010-2-032. The probe body is molded from high-impact, UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant industrial polycarbonate, featuring tactile finger barriers to safeguard operators during live measurements.
