The Practical Instrument Electronics (PIE) 311 automated universal RTD calibrator can be used to check and calibrate all RTD instruments and measure RTD sensors with automatic indication of connections on the display for simple hookups. The 311 comes with a rubber boot and a rugged, low-profile switch for protection and its backlit display makes it easy to use in poorly lit areas.
With the PIE 311 automated universal RTD calibrator, there's no need for a decade box and RTD resistance tables. PIE 311 calibrators work with many RTDs, including Platinum 100 (alpha = 3850, 3902, 3926) & 1000 (alpha = 3850, 3750), Copper 10 & 50Ω, Nickel 100 & 120Ω. You can quickly set any value to within 0.1° with the adjustable digital potentiometer dial, plus store any three temperatures for instant recall. The 311 calibrator can both read, and source RTDs directly in °C or °F.
Another feature of the PIE 311 automated universal RTD calibrator is automatic output stepping. Choose between 2, 3, 5, 11 and 21 steps to automatically increment the output in 100%, 50%, 25%, 10% or 5% of span. Select the step time to match your system from 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 60 seconds. Lastly, you can troubleshoot sensor connections by connecting two, three or four wire RTDs and the PIE 311 will automatically detect the connection and measure the RTD.
PIE 311 calibrators are manufactured in the USA and ship complete with rubber boot, four "AA" alkaline batteries, certificate of calibration, small carrying case, and evolution RTD wire kit.
