Elektro-Physik MiniTest 735 Coating Thickness Gauge with external, connected via cable
The MiniTest 735 coating thickness gauge is the solution to all your coating thickness problems where Reliable finish and perfect product appearance play a major role for long-term value and success, for example. in the automotive and shipbuilding industries, steel and bridge construction or in the electroplating industry, and many other industries.

The MiniTest 735 is ergonomically designed and its rounded shape allows MiniTest measurements to fit in the palm of your hand. It also features a measurement speed setting option that allows adapting to changing requirements for maximum efficiency and optimal productivity: taking many readings in a short time with moderate precision or taking just a few readings with increased accuracy.

MiniTest 735 facilitates non-destructive coating measurements of non-magnetic coatings (paints, synthetic materials, chromium, etc.) on ferromagnetic substrates (steel) and insulating coatings (varnishes, enamels, synthetic materials, anodized aluminum, etc.) on conductive substrates (aluminium, copper, austenitic stainless steel).

The sensors perfectly compensate for irregularly shaped surfaces thanks to pre-defined calibration methods available to adapt to various surface conditions and different accuracy requirements.

The MiniTest 735 meter is equipped with the new SIDSP® sensor. SIDSP® is the world's leading technology for coating thickness sensors. With this new technology, another new benchmark for measuring the thickness of innovative coatings has been established.

SIDSP® stands for Sensor-Integrated Digital Signal Processing: A technology in which signals are fully processed into digital form within the sensor at the time and point of measurement. SIDSP® sensors are manufactured according to completely new state-of-the-art production techniques.

Unlike engineering, conventional SIDSP® sensors create and control the excitation signal for the sensor head within the sensor. The return signal is instantly digitally converted and processed with 32 bit accuracy to give you a complete layer thickness value. For this technique, highly advanced digital signal methods are used as known from modern telecommunication technology (cell phone networks) such as digital filters, baseband conversion, averaging, stochastic analysis, etc. This allows users to achieve signal quality and precision that is unimpeded by analog signals. The thickness value is transmitted digitally via the sensor cable to the display unit. Setting a new standard in coating thickness measurement, this technology offers decisive advantages and improvements compared to commonly used analog sensors.

The new SIDSP® sensor guarantees the following:

  • High measurement signal stability
  • The characteristic curve of the SIDSP® sensor has high accuracy
  • SIDSP® sensors provide excellent adaptability
  • SIDSP® N and FN sensors compensate for the conducting medium
  • The SIDSP® sensor is very insensitive to temperature changes
  • Wear-resistant SIDSP® sensors
  • Future oriented solutions
Device delivery includes MSoft 7 basic data transfer software.
