The Chauvin Arnoux F605 True RMS Clamp Meter combines large measurement ranges with advanced analysis features, thus making it useful for performing inspections on high-power installations in a range of sectors. It measures AC current (2000A), DC current (3000A), AC voltage (1000V), DC voltage (1400V), frequency (20kHz) and resistance (99.99kΩ). It can also measure AC+DC values so it is suitable for use on mixed AC/DC installations whilst Inrush current measurement helps capture current spikes in motor start-up phases. Continuity, diode and phase rotation testing are other useful aspects of the meter.

A range of analysis features help the user make the most of the Chauvin Arnoux F605’s large measurement ranges. Fluctuations can be captured by peak+/peak- measurement as well as by min/max recording whilst THD and harmonics analysis aids troubleshooting. Relative and differential readings add another layer to system assessment. The hold function is particularly useful as it freezes all aspects of a reading to look back on, rather than just the value on screen.

The Chauvin Arnoux F605 has a large 60mm jaw opening which allows it to fit round the large cables associated with power distribution and transport.
