The current clamps in the E Series can be used to measure alternating and direct
currents by means of Hall-effect technology. Their unique long, narrow shape
facilitates measurement in confined spaces where access is difficult or when there
are a large number of electrical cables and conductors present.
The clamps in the E Series are all equipped with an automatic DC Zero system and a
deactivatable standby mode. They can be powered by a battery or a standard 5 VDC
power pack (option) via their Micro USB connector.
They offer two different sensitivities and output an alternating and direct voltage
signal (mVac+dc) which is a faithful image, in terms of the waveform and amplitude, of the current measured. The E25 clamp, equipped with a cable terminated by 2 x Ø4 mm insulated male banana
plugs, is the ideal complement for any multimeter or other measuring instrument.
The E27 clamp is an insulated current sensor whose wide bandwidth is useful for
measuring and viewing complex AC+DC signals on an oscilloscope.
