Both of the current probes of the Chauvin Arnoux D38N Clamp AC 190/900/9000A (1V AC) 30 - 50kHz [B] have a bandwidth of 50kHz, and the sensors of this instrument are the hall effect and classic types. Only the AC type of current is measured, to a maximum of 2400A and 9000A peaks.
This AC clamp meter gives off an output type of voltage, with a signal strength of 1 volt AC voltage. It also comes with three ratios of transformation: 1A/10mV, 1A/1mV and 1A/0.1mV. The overall accuracy of the probe is 2%.
The cable attached to this Chauvin Arnoux current clamp can extend to up to 2 metres in length, and it is small enough to get into hard to reach places with dimensions of 120 x 315 x 48 millimetres. It also weighs 1.2 kilograms and can be easily and comfortably carried around in one hand. Chauvin Arnoux have also included a standard manufacturer’s warranty of one year.
The Chauvin Arnoux D38N Clamp AC 190/900/9000A (1V AC) 30 - 50kHz [B] comes with protection from over voltage: CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V. It also has a CEM safety rating of EN 50081-1: Class B and EN 50082-2 and it has four levels of safety: CAT I, CAT II, CAT III and CAT IV.
