The Chauvin Arnoux CA6630 Battery Capacity Tester is perfect for performing preventative maintenance and therefore avoiding costly breakdowns on battery-powered devices. The tester is suitable for use on nickel/cadmium, lithium-ion, and nickel/hybrid metal batteries and gives a simple PASS/WARNING/FAIL indication of battery status. Results are gained by measuring internal resistance up to 40Ω and open-circuit voltage up to 40V and then comparing the readings with the theoretical results saved in the instrument. Accuracy is aided by the four-wire resistance measurement method and a zero function which compensates for voltage circuit.
Readings and a status indication are displayed on the Chauvin Arnoux CA6630’s backlit digital display and up to 999 readings can be saved to the tester’s internal memory and then recalled at the user’s discretion. Data transfer software and a connection cable are supplied as standard in order to allow easy downloading of results to the user’s PC. In datalogging mode, readings can be automatically taken at an adjustable rate and the operation is undertaken via a simple push-button interface.
The Chauvin Arnoux CA6630 is powered by six 1.5V batteries which allow 7 hours’ continuous operating time. Test leads and a hard carry case are supplied as standard and the tester has a manufacturer’s warranty of 12 months.
