The Chauvin Arnoux MX655 is a large-jaw clamp meter that can be used to carry out several different measurements via its Hall-effect clamp and built-in ports for test leads.
At the top of this clamp meter the MX655 has large-size 40mm diameter jaws, ensuring that this device can clamp around larger applications in order to measure current (in both AC and DC). Once attached securely to a conductor the MX655 can measure AC current from 0.05 to 1000A RMS and DC current from 0.1 to 1000A. It also includes a suite of multimeter functions and can be used to measure AC voltage to 750V RMS, DC voltage to 1000V, resistance to 4kΩ, A frequency from 20Hz to 10kHz and V frequency from 10Hz to 10kHz. It can also perform audible continuity testing and diode testing as well.
Additional functions of this meter include a 4000 count LCD screen, 42 segment analogue bargraph, a data hold function, MIN/MAX measurements and a REL (relative) measurement function.
