TSI Alnor 5725 [5725] VelociCalc Rotating Vane Anemometer

The TSI 5725 VelociCalc Rotating Vane Anemometer provides highly accurate and reliable air velocity and air flow measurements through a large 4 inch vane anemometer. Great for testing volume at diffusers and grilles, the 5725 is also well suited for analyzing heating and cooling coils and making velocity measurements at hoods and filter faces.

The very low resistance vane tests velocities from 50 to 6000 ft/min, while simultaneously providing air temperature from 32 to 140 °F. With a user selected duct size the TSI 5725 will convert the velocity measurement into a calculation of air flow or volume. Making sampling even easier is the included sweep function, which allows an average measurement over a large grill or test area. The 5725 VelociCalc can also display minimum and maximum readings to give a better idea of the overall turbulence and variability of the air flow. The large 4 inch vane is reversible for measurements of supply or return air.

The TSI 5725 includes full data logging capabilities, up to 12,700 samples in 100 different tests. Data can be recalled on the instrument itself, or downloaded with the included LogDat software and cable. For purposes of better averaging in very turbulent conditions, the time constant is user adjustable as needed. The optional Aircone Flow Hoods are available for the 5725, turning the instrument into a quick way to test and balance system air flow on small fans and grills.
