Metrel's MI3200 is a comprehensive insulation, voltage and fault-finding device that is designed to speed up testing and allow safe procedures to take place at all times.
The MI3200 is an ideal product for testing insulation resistance of rotating machinery and cables, production line periodic testing and maintenance, troubleshooting and analysis of insulation problems, diagnostic testing and can also be used to carry out evaluations in high noise environments such as voltage substations or switch yards.
Testing on the MI3200 is automated, allowing the device to calculate PI, DD and DAR with automated resistance ranging (AR) all displayed in one comprehensive measurement. It also includes a suite of faulty finding functions, allowing the user to program a step-voltage function and withstanding voltage test functions.
This device also features generally test voltage range between 500-10000V (10kV), allowing it to measure insulation resistance up a high threshold of 10TΩ. Voltage levels can be stepped up gradually through increments of 25V when using a ramp test. The MI3200 also includes built-in memory, allowing information to be stored on the device and then downloaded directly via the built-in RS232/USB ports which are integrated into the tester's body.
