The RTD Series Precision Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) provides a wide range of absolute resistance values ​​that calibrate RTDs and thermocouples. Thermocouples have a resistance that depends on the temperature.

The RTD simulator effectively replaces an RTD to test, analyze and calibrate RTD measurement systems. The RTD Series simulator is a source of precision resistance with excellent characteristics of precision, stability, temperature coefficient and power coefficient. All of these characteristics serve to make it a standard of laboratory resistance, being exceeded in performance only by independent standard resistors.

The special design of the RTD Series provides absolute precision and requires no subtraction of zero resistance from any configuration. The special design of the RTD virtually eliminates zero resistance and alternates contact variations, providing the absolute precision specified across the range.

The RTD Simulator series is available in 4 models that vary by resistance range and precision. RTD-Z is the choice for the most demanding RTD simulation applications. These units have an absolute accuracy of 50 ppm (0.005%). The RTD-X series is more economical, but still accurate, with an absolute accuracy of 100 ppm (0.01%).

All RTD Simulator models are 6 decades old. The units have a resolution of 1 mΩ with a maximum resistance of 1,000 Ω, which is better for PT-100 or a resolution of 10 mΩ with a maximum resistance of 10,000 Ω, which is better for PT-1000. The minimum resistance, or the lowest that you can dial into the unit, for all models is 10 Ω.
