Motic Moticam X Wireless Wi-Fi Microscope Camera

The Moticam X Wireless Wi-Fi Microscope Camera from National Optical frees your microscope from video cables by generating its own Wi-Fi signal so you can view live images on Wi-Fi equipped smartphones, tablets, or computers. The Moticam X delivers high resolution 1280 x 1024 images wirelessly to up to 6 devices. To view on iOS or Android tablets and smartphones, you can download the free MotiConnect app from the Apple App or Google Play Stores. For Wi-Fi enabled computers, you will need to install the included Motic Images Plus software. If you are viewing on a computer or device that prohibits the installation of software or apps, you can access the camera by entering the camera's IP address using any web browser.

The Moticam X can be used with any microscope that has a C-Ring adapter. The adapter will attach to the camera body and mount to the microscope. The camera also comes with 30mm and 38mm adapter rings to fit standard microscope eyepiece holder diameters. The adapters are adjustable to hold the camera centered in the microscope field of view.

The camera is powered by an included USB cable and wall plug. It can also be powered without the wall plug, by connecting directly into any USB computer port. If you are powering the camera with a computer, you will still need the Wi-Fi enabled to view images. Viewing can only be done over Wi-Fi. A blue LED on the face of the camera indicates when the camera is on and broadcasting the Wi-Fi signal.

If you want to view larger specimens, like bugs, a macro viewing tube is also included. The length of the tube is calculated for the focal length of the camera, so no focusing is required. The macro tube attaches using the C-Ring adapter.
