The Leica Digitex Signal Transmitter assists the Leica DigiCat 550i and 650i utility locators in identifying underground pipes or cables that do not have a live, electrical current. This signal generator allows contractors to trace utilities over a greater distance, boost utility detection in ranges with high signal interferences, and enhance depth estimation when using a depth locator.
The Digitex offers a standard output frequency of 8.192 to 32.768 kilohertz with an option that is capable of long distance tracing of 512 and 640 Hertz. It features clear audio-visual controls that are externally mounted and displays the transmitter’s output condition and four adjustable power output levels, which also allows selecting the output for the site or tracing conditions.
With its robust compact and lightweight design, dust and water resistance, and IP67 protection rating, the Leica Digitex can withstand the rough site condition. It uses four D-cell alkaline batteries to function up to 30 hours with intermittent use. The interior of the Leica Digitex includes a quick reference guide, an accessory storage compartment, and a battery compartment.
