It consists of a datalogger and a 3G modem protected by a weatherproof enclosure, and is powered by a solar panel and a backup battery for full autonomy. In addition, it includes an internal atmospheric pressure sensor.
EnviroMonitor® can receive data from a network of wireless nodes, each one allowing the connection of up to 4 agricultural sensors for measuring soil temperature, humidity and salinity, leaf wetness, water level, etc. It is possible to integrate a practically unlimited number of nodes that communicate with each other via Bluetooth in order to cover large crop extensions. Optionally, EnviroMonitor® can also receive data from a cabled Vantage Pro2™ ISS.
Access from a computer, tablet or smartphone The 3G modem integrated into EnviroMonitor® sends the weather data automatically to the www.weatherlink.com server, from where it can be monitored right away through a computer, tablet or smartphone. It is also possible to configure the sending of daily reports and email alerts for certain weather conditions, such as strong winds, freezing temperatures, heavy rains with possible flooding, etc.
Data plans EnviroMonitor® requires subscription to one of the annual data plans available, to choose based on the desired data upload interval: every 5, 15 or 60 minutes.
