The Videoscope PCE-VE 200UV has a dual LED illumination with UV light source and white light LED. The wavelength of the UV LED is in the UV-A range at 365 nm. Due to the switchable light source between UV light and white light LED as well as the possibility to use both light sources combined, the UV videoscope PCE-VE 200UV can be used very flexibly. The possibility to switch between front and side camera expands the range of applications, since not only the frontal, but also the lateral field of view can be illuminated with UV light and white light. The 1m long, semi-flexible camera tube with a diameter of 10 mm is guided by a handle which also offers the possibility to switch between front and side camera by pressing a button and to dim the light source depending on the ambient conditions.

A digital zoom and image rotation function is also integrated in the UV videoscope. With the UV-videoscope, both images and video sequences can be recorded and stored on an SD card. The subsequent evaluation of the recorded data is possible at any time. The UV videoscope is therefore excellently suited for use in non-destructive testing (NDT) in test methods such as the fluorescent penetrant test or the fluorescent dye penetrant test to visualize defects or grinding cracks, hot or cold cracks or even stress cracks on surfaces. Crack tests in engine cylinders, combustion chambers or turbines are thus possible. Deposits and organic residues in the area of criminalistics as well as oils adhering to component surfaces with autofluorescence can thus be visualized in hard-to-reach areas with the UV videoscope.
