The Honeywell BW RigRat multi-gas monitor provides user-friendly, transportable monitoring of gases in hazardous areas. The monitor offers up to six slots for interchangeable gas sensors for toxic gases, oxygen and combustible gases at the lower explosive limit (LEL); a photoionization detector (PID) for volatile organic compounds; and infrared sensors for highly flammable gases. Several RigRat monitors can be positioned in an area and connected to form a wireless safety perimeter. A wireless assistant provides easy setup, troubleshooting and information on each monitor's signal strength.

The RigRat can be used with Honeywell's remote monitoring software to see gas readings, location, compliance with safety policies and other data in real time from any device with an internet connection. An optional integrated noise sensor or meteorological data sensor can be added, and data from these sensors is viewable in the software.

The RigRat provides up to eight weeks of runtime on a single charge, eliminating battery switches in the middle of a task. An intrinsically safe portable charger is also available to extend power in the field. The monitor features alarms that are easy to see and hear, and an intelligent alarm for inert mode that prevents it from alarming in normal ambient air. The RigRat features a rugged, weatherproof design with an easy-to-read display, a tilted screen and protective cover, and an optional protective cage.
