With advanced measurement features, the Chauvin Arnoux CA5275 True RMS Digital Multimeter is useful in a range of sectors including electrical maintenance, HVAC and industrial maintenance. It can measure several different electrical outputs including AC/DC voltage up to 1000V, AC/DC current up to 10A, resistance up to 60MΩ, capacitance up to 60mF and frequency up to 50kHz as well as performing continuity and diode testing. True RMS measurement aids accuracy whilst the LowZ AC voltage measurement alleviates the problem of ghost voltage. Furthermore, ionisation current (0.2µA to 20µA) can be measured which has several applications in the HVAC industry such as testing flame detectors on boilers and sensors in smoke detectors. Multiple ranges and resolutions are available for each parameter, thus aiding precision and accuracy during inspections, whilst basic accuracy is 0.09%.
Results are shown on the Chauvin Arnoux CA5275’s double-backlit digital screen which also features a dynamic bar graph that works together with a high measurement rate (5/s) in order to provide an accurate depiction of reading fluctuations on screen. Min/max data recording helps give a complete picture of outputs and extended hold allows the user to look back at minimum and maximum vales instead of just freezing the current reading on screen.
The Multifix™ stand allows the Chauvin Arnoux CA5275 to stand vertically on a range of surfaces and ledges whilst the shock-proof casing protects against impacts on site. The device is splash-proof with an IP rating of IP54 and is safety rated as 1000V for Cat III and 600V for Cat IV. A three-year warranty guarantees the instrument and it comes supplied with test leads, test probes, a battery and a case.
