Operating as a dual-purpose tool, it allows technicians and plant engineers to detect and quantify micro-level leakage currents down to 10 µA on both AC and DC systems, while also functioning as a general-purpose electrical clamp capable of measuring loads up to 60 A. Its design provides a safe, efficient way to investigate intermittent fault conditions, diagnose premature GFCI and RCD nuisance tripping, and evaluate overall insulation integrity without powering down equipment. At the core of the Model 566 is an advanced magnetic jaw construction that shields against adjacent electrical noise and ambient magnetic field interference, ensuring stable, reliable readings even in densely packed electrical panels.
