The Radiodetection 10/SONDE-STD-8 is a self-contained, battery-operated transmitter designed to trace non-conductive underground utilities like plastic pipes, drains, and ducts. Operating at 8 kHz, it transmits a continuous signal that can be pinpointed up to 5 m (16 ft) deep from the surface. The Radiodetection 10/SONDE-STD-8 (often referenced as the Standard Sonde 8kHz) is a self-contained, battery-operated radio transmitter used to trace and pinpoint the path and depth of non-metallic pipes, ducts, and sewers. It is typically attached to a push-rod or drain rod and pushed underground into non-conductive utilities.
