The Radiodetection S18 (10/SONDE-S18A-33) is a compact, battery-operated transmitter sonde used to trace non-metallic pipes, ducts, and conduits. It transmits at 33 kHz and can be tracked to a maximum depth of 13 to 14.5 feet (4 to 4.5 meters) using compatible cable locators. The SPX Radiodetection S18 (10/SONDE-S18A-33) is a self-contained, battery-operated radio transmitter used in utility locating. Designed to be attached to flexible rods, it transmits a 33 kHz signal and allows operators to trace non-metallic underground pipes, ducting, and blockages up to a maximum depth of 13 feet (4 meters).
