The RainWise MK-III-RTI features all outside sensor components combined together into a single, compact, easy to install unit. If you require a longer range system, the MK-III-RTI-LR transmits over one mile, line of sight! The wireless, rugged outdoor sensor array runs completely on solar power. The MK-III solar charged battery supply is guaranteed to provide continuous operation below 60 degrees latitude and will operate for at least 60 days without sun.Unless you're purchasing the unit as a replacement, the MK-III-RTI sensor array requires a RainWise Display and/or the optional Computer/Network Interface. The sensor array can broadcast weather data to multiple displays, computers or network interfaces. The sensor array transmits a packet of data every two seconds offset by 30 seconds.Note: We do carry magnetic compasses to help you orient your anemometer to true north.
