Description

PCE-170 CB Wire tracer Locating device with a network cable finder function / Cable finder adjustable intensity / Suitable for mobile applications / Continuity check / RJ 45, RJ 11, BNC, coaxial cable.
The locating device is a universally applicable measuring device. With this locating device, for example, RJ11 ISDN telephone lines can be checked for their function. For this purpose it is sufficient to connect the RJ 11 plug of the locating device to the telephone socket. The locator instantly shows the operator if this port is connected. A ringing test is also possible with the locating device. For this, the connection must be called via an external telephone. Another function of the locating device is the testing of LAN connections in sockets. In this test method, the locating device indicates a short circuit, incorrect wiring, "reversed" or "split pairs".

Another special feature of the locating device is the storage option. All additional modules of the locating device can be safely plugged into the main module. This prevents the loss of a module at the locating device. Even the exposed test leads of the locating device can be stored safely. Thanks to this stowage possibility, the locating device can be easily transported.
