The General IRT657 12:1 Wide Range Infrared Thermometer with Star-burst Technology is a precision point-and-shoot, gun-style infrared thermometer accurately and easily measures surface temperatures—including hot, cold or inaccessible equipment—from a safe distance with its exceptionally broad measurement range of -40° to 1076°F (-40° to 580°C). The General Tools IRT657 is perfect for testing and troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment, systems and components in HVACR, building/facilities maintenance, manufacturing, electrical, aviation/transportation MRO, home inspection and other markets.
The General Tools IRT657 has a rugged, ergonomic design with a 1.6 in. diagonal backlit LCD and is powered by a single 9-Volt battery (included). Being a precision specialty tool, the General IRT657 features accuracy of +/-2% of reading, a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio and an extremely fast response time of 250 milliseconds. With its STAR BURST laser targeting system, the The General IRT/657 enables the user to approximate the size of the measured spot, resulting in quick and accurate temperature measurement. The General IRT657 features a handy front-panel °F/°C selection switch and comes with a carrying case and a user manual.
