Chauvin Arnoux CA 5277 [P01196777] 10A AC / 20A DC, 1000V AC/DC True RMS Handheld Digital Multimeter. As the highest-spec model in the Chauvin Arnoux CA5270 range, the Chauvin Arnoux CA5277 True RMS Digital Multimeter has extended options for ranges and resolutions which guarantee precision alongside good basic accuracy. It can measure AC/DC voltage (1000V), AC/DC current (10A), resistance (60MΩ), frequency (50kHz), capacitance (60mF), and temperature (-59.6˚C to 1200˚C). Continuity and diode testing can also be carried out with the CA5277. True RMS measurement makes the Chauvin Arnoux CA5277 suitable for non-linear wave forms whilst LowZ AC voltage measurement prevents ghost voltage interference. A particularly useful function is the ionisation current measurement range (0.2µA to 20µA) which can be used to test applications such as flame detectors and smoke detectors. The Chauvin Arnoux CA5277 also has sophisticated methods of recording and displaying data. Readings are shown on the large, double-backlit screen which also features a dynamic analogue bar graph with a central zero. A high measurement rate of 5/s keeps track of fluctuations and min/max, relative, and differential recording gives a clear picture of system outputs. Furthermore, 1ms peak+ and peak- values assess the distortion of the waveform under inspection, thus providing evidence of changes and malfunctions in an installation, as well as indicating potential harmonic disturbances. The Chauvin Arnoux CA5277’s extended hold function brings access to min/max, relative, differential and peak values rather than simply freezing a reading on screen. A Multifix™ stand allows the Chauvin Arnoux CA5277 to sit vertically on ledges and surfaces whilst the protective casing means that the meter is splash-proof (IP54) and shock-proof. It is safety rated as Cat III 1000V and Cat IV 600V and is also protected by a three-year warranty. All necessary accessories are supplied including test leads, test probes, and a thermocouple as well as a case and batteries.
