The RD500 is an effective instrument for locating and tracing buried plastic and/or concrete water pipes. The RD500 traces plastic water pipes over distances up to 500ft from the point of application of a Pulse Transmitter. The unit is low cost, quick and easy to use. Operators can learn to locate and trace water pipes with the RD500 in just a few minutes.

The RD500 gives its best performance locating a single pipe running under grass or soil.  Between 30 psi/2 bar and 75 psi/5 bar water pressure and adequate flow, the receiver will trace the line over distances up to 150 meters.

Electronic Pulse TransmitterThe RD500-Tx is an electronic transmitter that provides a traceable automatic fixedpulse down a plastic water pipe via its custom Pulse Transmitter fitting.An alternative to the water powered mechanical Pulse Transmitter, the RD500-Tx isideal for use in low pressure water supplies such as sprinklers, hoses or domesticsupplies where push fittings may be part of the infrastructure.The RD500-Tx is connected the same way as amechanical Pulse Transmitter and is poweredby onboard “D” cell batteries or via a 12V DCcar adaptor.The advantage of using the R500-Txis that once connected, it requiresno manual adjustment of thewater pressure to provide atraceable signal thus speeding uplocation and tracing services.
