The Haglof Vertex VL5 Laser Range Finder 15-103-1020 is an optimized surveying tool that measures long distances, heights and angles. This laser rangefinder features a graphic LCD display to present all your results and it can process your data thanks to its internal memory or you can transfer all your results to your external devices via infrared signal or Bluetooth. To easily spot your targets, this device features a crosshairs right in the scope.
The Vertex VL5 model has a measuring range from 1.5 ft to 2000 ft with an accuracy of +/- 0.1 ft. Depending on the position of your target you can set your device to closest object, farthest object or strongest signal object.

The ultrasound can be used to measure short distances in dense vegetation areas. To use the ultrasound feature you will need a T3 transponder and using this accessory with the plot centre staff or monopod will allow you to take circular measurements.
This laser rangefinder also has 2 very powerful functions: the Delta Height function and the Hazard Trees function. The first one is very useful while calculating sag lines, like power lines. It gives you the height difference of a point located on a straight imaginary line between two points and a third point located at the sag line between those two same points. The Hazard Trees function will estimate the risk of one object hitting another situated on its direction in case of falling. This function is very convenient when working with trees standing close to a building.
