The Garmin GPSMAP 78 Handheld GPS Navigator is a perfect marine navigation device with its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix satellite prediction that locate position accurately and quickly. It is equipped with sensors for comprehensive tracking including a three-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter (except GPSMAP 78). It also offers wireless connectivity for easy data sharing with similar units.

This Garmin marine GPS navigator includes a built-in worldwide basemap and optional preloaded U.S. BlueChart g2 coastal charts (GPSMAP 78sc only). With its 1.7-gigabyte internal memory and a microSD card slot, it allows adding more maps.
