Applied Instruments XR-3W w/ Optional built-in Wi-Fi and XR-TS2-01 DBS Satellite Meter Module

CATV Signal Level Meter
The XR-3W is a revolutionary test instrument platform. The base unit is a rugged chassis, display, and portable power supply that accepts easily swappable modules for test signal measurement purposes.

The XR-3W platform is ideal for installers and private cable operators that demand fast, easy signal measurements today and in the future.

  • Rugged
  • Adaptable
  • Economically Efficient
The XR-3W is economically efficient because it allows you to choose only the test modules that your application requires. In the future as your testing needs change, you’ll need only a new module, not an entire instrument.

Test modules that “slide and click” into the XR-3W available now include DBS satellite, VSAT satellite, and cable TV / off-air broadcast. Other modules will follow.

XR-TS2-01 Satellite Signal Level Meter Module
The XR-3 TS2 module represents a new standard in satellite identification capability. Rather than loading a limited set of satellites or a large number of channel plans to select from, the XR-3 TS2 module holds all of the compatible satellite transponder information for the entire continent.

  • 250-2150 MHz
  • For North American DBS & Broadcast TVRO
  • Tuner Module for use with XR-3 Modular Test Instrument base unit
You just tell it where you are, and what type of system you are connected to, and the XR-3 accesses all compatible satellite transponders visible to that system. The basic operation becomes extremely simple:
  • Left arrow button – goes to next orbit east
  • Right arrow button – goes to next orbit west
  • Up arrow button - next higher transponder
  • Down arrow button – next lower transponder
