Cable Detection EZiCAT i700 [514830] Digital Cable Locator

The new EZiCAT i700 series includes DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to make sure the services which carry the most dangerous currents are picked up first. This locator series always starts up Power Mode regardless of the last mode used. The Hazard Zone feature uses 8 kHz, and 33 kHz to alert the user of any potential risks or dangers from buried utilities, which are close to the surface. It comes with automatic control for easy use and an LCD screen with automatic back light for dark environments. It is lightweight and manufactured to be used in harsh working conditions.

Data Logging provides the functionality to record data whilst it is in use which includes the geographical location and survey findings. Data is recorded after the instrument is initialised and then stored in the system’s memory. The memory data files, which can integrate into a Geographic Information System, can then be processed and analysed on a PC when they have been transferred wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. In addition to data transfer, Bluetooth functionality also allows the EZiCAT i700 to integrate perfectly with mobile mapping devices.

With all locators in the EZiCAT i700 Series, when locating utilities the Pinpoint Assist feature on the keeps the maximum reading and the hold time allows the users to identify the position of the service. An indicator showing the strength of the signal enables the operator to track a service amongst others by displaying the numerical value on the LCD screen.

GPS Function
The intelligent Cable Detection EZiCAT i700 cable locator features a fully integrated GPS technology and data logging capability, providing you with information on where, when and how the locator has been used.

This information can then be transferred via Bluetooth to LOGiCAT software, making downloading and analysing the data quick and easy. This data is useful to help identify training needs of users and for traceability of locating following a near miss, utility strike or similar incident.

Data Logging
The Cable Detection EZiCAT i700 start to record information (every second) after completion of the initial start-up routine. These records (logs) are stored in the locators memory and can be retrieved and transferred via Bluetooth to a PC for analysis.

Every activity of the locator is recorded, providing important support information following a near miss, service strike or similar incident.

Managers are able to collate data on individual locator users, identify those who are most proactive and vigilant against cable strikes and those who need additional training.

Bluetooth Data Transfer
Integrated as standard into the Cable Detection EZiCAT i700 is wireless data transfer, allowing the EZiCAT to integrate seamlessly with mobile mapping technology to log survey data, in addition to enabling wireless Bluetooth data transfer.

LOGiCAT Software
With the unique LOGiCAT Software, records can be retrieved and collated helping to increase on site safety, whilst identifying training needs.

Signal Strength Indicator (SSI)
Enables the user can trace individual services amongst a multiple of services. The numeric display shows the highest reading over the service which is connected to the EZiTX signal transmitter. This ensures the user can follow the service without straying onto another. The SSI mode can also be used to trace the Dual Frequency Sonde with ease.
