Temperatures are measured and recorded in a variety of applications. For example, HVAC technicians measure temperatures to identify and solve problems in heating or cooling systems, while quality control workers in the food sector measure temperatures to ensure storage and preparation of everything from food and produce to frozen cheese. A temperature gauge is a tool used to measure the temperature of a creature or object.
