Seaward Apollo 500+ [380A928] PAT Tester

The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester now has all-new firmware with an improved user interface and a database search function. Furthermore, the tester can now work with a Seaward Test n Tag Elite 2 Printer and Seaward scanner to print and read QR-coded PAT labels. As well as providing more information, QR codes can be scanned by a customer using a smartphone in order to find out full PAT test results and information. A new external battery pack now allows the user to switch the rechargeable battery in the field, thus preventing downtime.

The Apollo 500+ is brand new intuitive downloading PAT Testing device from Seaward that combines ease of use with a wide selection of high specification features. The Apollo 500+ is built with demanding PAT Testers in mind and is designed to speed up general testing on 230V, 110V appliances and IT equipment. A full firmware update improves the user interface and offers QR code capability and there is now also an external battery pack.

A main advantage to the Apollo 500+ is the introduction of a Risk based assessment tool. The tool is based on the latest IET Code of Practice and allows users to calculate individual re-test dates based on the risk associated with using each appliance. Alongside this feature the tester will perform a series of high end tests in accordance with the latest edition of the IET Code of Practice 4th Edition and the guidelines introduced by HSE (Health and Safety Executive).

The Seaward Apollo 500+ has all new firmware that provides a better user experience via an improved interface. This includes enhanced functions such as quicker navigation through results and a database search function. It is also possible to set customised access levels for different user profiles for added security.

New firmware also allows the Seaward Apollo 500+ to both print and scan QR codes with the aid of a Seaward Test n Tag Elite 2 printer and Seaward Bluetooth 2D Elite Barcode Scanner. QR codes provide the user with instant, extensive information on the appliance in question including asset ID, site, location, most recent test date and next scheduled test date. In addition, the end user can access this information easily by downloading the QR Data Viewer app to an Android or iOS smartphone.

An external battery pack allows the user to quickly exchange the rechargeable batteries in the field whenever required. This is a useful feature for professional PAT testing operatives as it allows them to continue working with minimal downtime.

Seaward continue their high reputation and have produced a small, lightweight tester that is easy to carry around. The tester is downloadable so you don't have to keep writing out PAT certificates during your working day. The Apollo 500+ can fit comfortably within the user’s hands allowing for one handed testing which can now be performed with ease. Despite the small size the tester comes complete with a full QWERTY keypad featuring five recognisable function buttons and a large high definition colour display. The large backlit display will benefit anyone who wishes to regularly perform and track complex tests in their entirety.

The Apollo 500+ matches design with functionality by storing 10,000 results along with USB and Bluetooth download and upload compatibility. The tester is designed to be used with Seaward PATGuard 3 software which allows a user to keep track of test history and produce PAT certificates and detailed risk assessment reports. PATGuard 3 is now compatible with PC, tablets and Smartphones.

Simple menu systems help you easily navigate to mains powered tests such as Touch Current, Earth Leakage or RCD Trip Time tests. The tester is even versatile enough to test 3 phase equipment and perform point to point testing on fixed appliances. This versatile tester can test off batteries or mains power ensuring you are never slowed down on larger jobs.
