The Kyoritsu 6305-00 power quality analyzer (also called a power meter) measures and records the power consumption and power quality of single-phase or three-phase (2-, 3-, or 4-wire) circuits for installing and maintaining electrical systems. It measures current; voltage (including peak values and neutral current); demand; frequency; power factor; and active, reactive, and apparent power and energy; and tracks events such as inrush current, sags and surges, overvoltage, and interruptions. The meter provides measurements in real time and comes with a 2GBgigabyte) SD card for recording readings to track changes in the individual electrical properties of a power system or the overall power quality provided by the system. The unit checks for proper wiring to help ensure measurement accuracy. A data hold feature freezes a measurement on the display. Two Kyoritsu 6305-00 units can be connected to perform measurements on two power lines at the same time. Measurements can be viewed on the meter's backlit, color LCD, which is readable in low light. Up to three measurement parameters can be displayed on the screen at one time. The operator can view results in English, Japanese, or Chinese. The unit comes with four voltage test leads for taking voltage measurements, and a range of current sensors (sold separately) can be used with the meter to measure current or power. The unit automatically identifies current sensors that are attached to it. The meter comes with a USB cable for transferring data from the meter to the computer, and the included software provides a graphical user interface for working with data on a computer running the Windows 7, Vista, or XP operating system. Also, the unit can connect to Android devices via Bluetooth to display measurements. The Kyoritsu 6305-00 power quality analyzer is for use in production, research, and repair applications.
This true RMS (root mean square) sensing meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads, where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal or nonsinusoidal waveform. The meter meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category III installations up to 600V, which covers items used with enclosed building circuit installations (such as service panel parts, branch circuits, and fixed installations that are connected directly to a building's AC power supply). The unit is powered by six AA batteries (included) or a power cord (included). It comes with a carrying case to protect the meter against bumps and abrasions during transport and storage.
